About the role

In this newly created role as Legal & AI Innovation Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and professionalizing the legal operation. You will build processes, implement technology, and ensure that the international legal team can operate efficiently, scalably, and future-proof. You will also liaise with the Innovation teams in other Winston Taylor offices in the UK and the US, overseeing the implementation and rollout of new AI / Legaltech tools.

You will work at the intersection of legal, operations, technology, and innovation, with ample opportunity to independently implement improvements and realize new ideas. As a Legal & AI Innovation Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Strategic:

• Developing and executing a multi-year innovation and AI strategy;

• Identifying and implementing new AI and Legal Tech solutions;

• Together with the legal counsels, advise the board and partners on AI, governance, the AI Act, and NOvA guidelines.

Operational:

• Continuously innovating legal services, in collaboration with our legal professionals;

• Setting up AI and LegalTech pilots and guiding implementations;

• Providing training, workshops, and adoption of new technologies;

• Managing and monitoring external IT service providers;

• Continuously improving and automating internal workflows;

• Developing and professionalizing knowledge infrastructure, knowledge management, and knowledge sharing;

• Collaborating with Operations and IT Support for the operational execution of the innovation and AI strategy.

International:

• Coordinating international policies within Winston Taylor Benelux;

• Engaging with the innovation teams in other Winston Taylor offices.

You are fascinated by new technology, analytical, entrepreneurial, and enjoy making processes more efficient with the help of technology. You see opportunities for improvement, think in processes, and thrive on innovation and change. You will also work closely with other departments to ensure effective coordination and alignment across systems and processes.

In addition, you have:

• HBO or WO level of education and thinking

• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in IT, Legal Operations, project management, consultancy, legal services, or a similar environment

• Experience in implementing processes, systems, and improvement projects

• Affinity with legal tech, AI, automation, and digitization

• Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach

• Experience in stakeholder management and guiding change processes

• Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written

• A proactive and independent work attitude
